Guess maybe we should start this back up over here? I had stopped posting the monthly prepping ideas because no one seemed interested, but maybe now? Anyway, this week I am going to go through all my OTC meds and replenish anything that needs to be stocked up on. What's everyone else doing? Anyone working on a garden this year?

lol I'm working on a herb garden. I'm trying to keep it small, since I have limited balcony space.
Be Prepared, it may be time..^_^v

April is canned food restock for me.  I got really sloppy & wasn't rotating anything any more... so a month ago I dumped a bunch of stuff, now it's like bare bones in my two pantry sized cabinets... so here I go, feel like I'm starting all over.  Def easier to maintain than to have to completely rebuild, so I hope I've learned my lesson.

Yesterday I added to my stock of OTC meds. Today I got some extra food, I too had let my extras run low. I topped off my freezer with meat and frozen fruit. Got rice, dried beans, crackers, UHT shelf milk and a few other things. Plan on doing more shopping this weekend.

Thanks for getting this going again Penham. Like you and others, I have really cut down on "home supplies". I did however keep up on planting fruit and nut trees from the old Y2K and Bird Flu days. I have a hugh garden that I harvest from and this week will finish up a hugh chicken run.  My free range chickens (nine) have discovered my garden area, I need to fence them off and have easier winter cages for me and them.  The explosion in West, TX showed me the importance of some sort of underground protective area. In volunteering down there, I learned the importance of keeping your drivers license current and your name, address and organ donation, etc. up to date. Many had their meds taped to the back of their drivers license. I remember a crude vegetable celler from a metal trash can, I wonder if important duplicate documents/pictures would hold up in a plastic container in one of these metal ground containers. Also the importance of keeping a photo plus a collar and current tags of pets and a to go transport container. Many shelters did not accept pets, no pet container, made it tough on the elderly as pet shelter were full of pets found running around. Just some misc. thoughts.
Stop the anxiety, get prepared for disasters that can strike your area.
