More than 800 flu cases documented in Wyo.
JACKSON, Wyo.— State health officials have verified more than 800 cases of flu around Wyoming so far this winter.
The pattern resembles a typical flu season with illness picking up in January and February. Flu season usually begins to taper off in late February.
Of the flu cases statewide, only about 20 have been confirmed as the H1N1 strain that raised so much concern last year. The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports that Sweetwater County has had the most flu of any Wyoming county this winter: 121 cases. Weston and Niobara counties have the fewest cases with four each. Teton County has had about 20 cases. |
